consumer

Our award-winning Consumer team is where it all started at Launch. We've come a long way since winning JVC as our first-ever client from our original Launch pad - a broom cupboard in Islington. We now work with some of the most interesting brands in the UK, be they household names or emerging players.

For us, the core of Consumer media relations is about joining brands to the media agenda. Making headlines or creating online content for brands means transforming commercial messages into stories that journalists or bloggers recognise as genuine news. There's often a big element of 'image change' too. A lot of our work involves shifting what the media and consumers think they know about a brand into the reality of where the brand is going.

The media landscape is changing dramatically, of course.  Print, online and mobile are now regarded by many media owners as, simply, different channels to communicate the same story or content. It's our team's job to ensure our clients understand how these channels can transmit their messages.

Sometimes, a story about a brand is interesting enough not to need anything but a perfectly timed and executed 'sell-in' to the media. More often, a creative approach is needed to make people sit up and take notice. Our bespoke creative facilitation programmes are designed to make almost anything into a story - a story that can also be delivered through social media and experiential for maximum value and results.
